No Break for Basey

Losing Grant Basey after less than a minute of our defeat at Bristol Rovers on Monday was a setback, but a possible broken leg would've been even more of one for both club and player.

Fortunately Basey hasn't suffered a break, as was initially feared following a challenge from Dominic Blizzard but physio Steve Allen has confirmed that The Addicks defender has sustained ankle ligament damage, Allen told The Official Website: "Grant was taken to hospital but came back on the coach with the squad and is on crutches.

"We can't put a timescale on it, but it could have been a lot worse."

Without a timescale put on the injury it's difficult to say but I'd think that the Welsh U21 international will do well to play much more football this season?
