Sodje Would Love to Stay

There is a contract offer on the table for Akpo Sodje to stay with Charlton and this is something the on-loan Sheffield Wednesday star says he'd like to do.

Sodje is on-loan with The Addicks, for a second spell until the end of the season and even though he says he'd like to stay at SE7 the striker isn't in a hurry to sign anything just yet, Sodje told The News Shopper: "I'd love to stay and there's something on the table, but I'm not really going to discuss a contract or anything, I'm going to focus on the next game and just keep myself going."

The 29-year-old score his first goal since returning to the club for his second loan spell in the defeat against Brighton on Tuesday, something that he said left him "gutted" and he now wants us to up our levels.

I'd very much like to see Sodje stay with us and if he really wants to do this the Nigerian international will but he'll also (regardless as to what he says) want to keep his options open.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Akpo Sodje's thoughts on staying for good? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

He's a decent enough player...but needs to prove his fitness....his injury record is a bit poor....but if he keeps injury free then he would be a useful addition

If he wants to stay so much why isn't he signing the contract on offer?
