Shelvey set to Leave Charlton

Jonjo Shelvey looks as though he'll complete a move to a Premier League side soon, with Liverpool the strong favourites among various reports. are saying that Shelvey is going to join Liverpool after they moved ahead of the competition from Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and West Ham to sign The Addicks teenager for a fee of 3m?

The 18-year-old has been linked with a move to a Premier League club for sometime now and we now look like we're finally going to lose the fight to keep the teenager at SE7. I don't think that he would make his breakthrough at Anfield next season so it would be interesting to see if they'd be willing to loan him back to us again for a year. All of this depends on there being any truth to this move anyway?

One thing that we do know is the club are considering selling the midfielder for first time as this has been confirmed.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on reports linking Jonjo Shelvey with Liverpool? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

Unfortunately, we need the money to help us to get through next season. Shelvey has probably been disappointed by the limited amount of action, which he has seen during the current campaign and may feel that he might just as well sit on the bench at Liverpool, while earning a great deal more money. The suggested fee appears a little on the high side to me.

Good luck to him...he did the right thing for us by extending his contract so that we get a good fee...

Gone hasn't he. I think we've done well to keep him as long as we did and have got a good fee. Best of luck.
