Richardson and Bailey Named in League 1 Team

Charlton have gained recognition in the League 1 Team of the Year with both Frazer Richardson and Nicky Bailey included.

Richardson and Bailey have had exceptional season's for us with Richardson slipping into our defence wonderfully well after his arrival from Leeds United and our skipper Bailey carrying on where he left off last season.

This is how both were described in Sky Sports' profiles for the League 1 team.

Frazer Richardson (Charlton): There were a few eyebrows raised when Leeds United released Richardson last summer but what has been the Yorkshire outfit's loss has definitely been Charlton's gain as the 27-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding season at right back for the promotion-chasing Addicks.

Nicky Bailey (Charlton): Nicky Bailey continues to pull the strings in midfield for promotion-chasing Charlton in what has been an outstanding season for the 25-year-old. The former Southend player was linked with a string of teams in January, but Addicks boss Phil Parkinson was adamant that his man was going nowhere. "He is our captain and it would be great if he led us back to the Championship."

Well done to both of these Addicks, it is a fitting honour to be voted in by your fellow professionals as they were.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Frazer Richardson and Nicky Bailey making the League 1 Team of the Year? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.
