If You're Going Burton Just Go!!!

If You're Going Burton Just Go!!!

Darryl Powell (the agent of Deon Burton) is once again talking about Burton making an exit from SE7.

Burton's contract is about to end and there is reported interest from a number of clubs including our League 1 rivals this season Notts County and Powell says that the striker is weighing up options including a lucrative overseas offer, Powell told The South London Press: "Deon's had a firm offer from a club in Europe and we've had interest from elsewhere.

"The offer from abroad is a decent one and it's probably more than anyone could pay in this country, but it might not be enough for him to say 'yes'.

"We haven't spoken yet with Charlton about terms but I know Deon would like to have had something sorted by this stage."

The 33-year-old's agent has already spoken about Burton leaving and now I'm more convinced that he's doing this to try and force our hand into offering him a contract that I don't think will be coming, probably due to our finances in relation to what he'll be asking?

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on more talk from Darryl Powell about Deon Burton? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

I'll second that, stop talking about it and actually do it if you are.
