Doherty Holds Charlton Talks?
The latest name linked with Charlton (that we'll probably miss out on) is former Norwich City skipper Gary Doherty.
Doherty is a free agent after leaving The Canaries after being told he wouldn't figure in Paul Lambert's plans in The Championship next season, so leaves Carrow Road after more than 225 appearances during his six-years with Norwich.
The 30-year-old is attracting interest from various club including Walsall and us, however Skysports.com is reporting that we're closing in on the defender having held talks with the Republic of Ireland international over a two-year contract.
