Injury Blow For Thorvaldsson

Injury Blow For Thorvaldsson

The chance of one of our trialists earning a contract might have taken a knock after he picked up an injury against AFC Wimbledon.

Gunnar Thorvaldsson injured his hip during his 45 minute outing and will now be out for around 10 days, Phil Parkinson told The South London Press: "I feel a bit sorry for Gunnar - he will be out for seven to 10 days.

"I`ve seen him play quite a few times for Reading and he`s a decent player but he wasn`t really able to show that on Saturday."

The striker, who has played for Halmstads, Hannover, Valerenga and Reading may still have a chance of earning a contract at SE7 though as Parkinson has already said that he'll not be rushing into any decisions with these trialists.

Just what we need. A striker who has been let go by four clubs!
