Semedo Sending Off Appeal Considered

Charlton's 1-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday was marred by Joe Semedo's sending off just after the hour mark.

Semedo was shown a straight red card, however having studied evidence Addicks boss Phil Parkinson doesn't believe that a red card was warranted and an appeal against the midfielders dismissal seems likely, Parkinson said: "I thought at the time the sending-off was harsh. We've just seen it and it was a yellow card at most.

"The chairman is just having a look at it now and we will decide whether we are going to appeal against it.

"Jose Semedo is probably the most honest player you are likely to come across and he slid in, won the ball, and I think the Bournemouth players' reaction more than anything else influenced the referee."

A straight red card carries a three match suspension I think so if Parkinson genuinely thinks we've got a good case then he's got every right to appeal the dismissal, we'll just have to hope that the Football League see it our way.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on the possible appeal to Jose Semedo's sending off? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

Whilst Semedo is always going to play close to the edge and attract referees' attention, in this case I think the fef was a little harsh
