Clubs Settle Their Addicks Debts

Money that Crystal Palace and Cardiff City have owed Charlton for players they signed from us have now been paid.

Fees had been outstanding from The Eagles for former skipper Paddy McCarthy and another former skipper (signed from The Eagles but sold to Cardiff) The Bluebirds signed Mark Hudson, these non-payments saw both reported to The Football League.

Both npower Championship sides have now made six figure payments to The Addicks.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on the payments owing to Charlton? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

You've been [relatively] patient and as a London-based Buebirds supporter I'm grateful for that .. glad you've now been paid .. we could have taken the easy way out [Crystal Palace, Portsmouth] and gone into administration which would have meant you'd have got in the end a tiny fraction of what was owed to you .. but we decided to struggle to meet all our debts and pay up .. we're still not there but we are getting there ..
