Parkinson Post Exeter

Charlton were beaten for a second League 1 match running when we slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Exeter City on Saturday.

The Grecians won when they concerted a last gasp penalty, awarded in controversial circumstances with Phil Parkinson believing that the referee (who wasn't sure) cost us a point, Parkinson told BBC London 94.9: "He has cost us a point today and to say I'm livid is an understatement. I don't think the ref was sure it was a pen and where the ball ended up indicated to me that our player got a touch on the ball."

It might have been a harsh decision but The Addicks boss also knows that we should've dealt with the initial ball to begin with and didn't show enough quality during the game anyway, adding: "It was a harsh decision, but we should have dealt with the ball over the top.

"In patches we created opportunities but it was just patches and didn't see enough quality today."
