'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Christian Beliefs

Though he is rapidly honing in on his 37th birthday, the Charlton skipper's love of the game is showing no sign of waning.
Dailly was one of the regulars who started in the recent JPT game against Dagenham & Redbridge at The Valley.

Possibly a game which many would have expected him to sit out, but that's not Dailly's ethos. Christian told me ahead of the game that he 'didn't do' nights off and wants to play in every game. He has to be forced to sit out games, and even then he protests!

Currently sidelined with a fractured eye-socket injury sustained in that Dagenham game, Dailly is chomping at the bit to return to action. Indeed, his return to the team may be earlier than generally anticipated.

The skipper, along with defensive partner, Gary Doherty and youngster Carl Jenkinson, were guests at a question and answer session at The Valley last night. Dailly told the audience he had turned down media work with Scottish radio to fully focus on his playing career. He is a train-aholic and has to be careful not to over train.

A wonderful example to the club's youngsters, his longevity shows no sign of waning. When the inevitible time comes for him to retire, Dailly will surely become an excellent manager.

Really good article there and well worth sharing it. As long as Christian can carry on then why not?
