'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No More Excuses!

The 4-0 defeat at The Valley inflicted on us by Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend will work one of two ways. We'll either react to this in a positive way with that defeat acting as a wake up call or crumble completely.

Phil Parkinson called a meeting this week where people were asked to stand up and be counted so it's now hoped that we'll get this positive reaction, Parkinson said: "It's been a tough week.

"As a team we need to show more responsibility out on the pitch and I said that to the lads on Tuesday when we had a meeting and went through the story of the season so far.

"We've had a lot of new players and we've had players who have been injured but we need more consistency from individuals. Any excuses of 'I've just come to the club' or 'I've just come back from injury' have gone now for me.

"Everyone is up to speed, everyone has been here long enough and everyone knows how we want to play. The excuses are finished."

The "excuses are finished" thoughts also have to be extended to Parkinson himself as he's been here more than long enough now so as the manager needs to be getting the best out of the players that he has, if he can't then he'll be the one paying the ultimate price.

Our trip to Carlisle could well be a real make or break situation for him and the club, we'll just have to hope that it's a make and not a break!

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Phil Parkinson's "no more excuses" thoughts? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

The last point is exactly on the money....no more excuses from Parky....now is the time...either turn it around or go
weloveyoucharlton
and again Parky uses another excuse for a ridiculous second half display staing that "we were complacent"....!!!!
