Parkinson Post Walsall

In a typically Charlton like performance against a struggling team we slipped up on Sunday, losing at The Valley against the then bottom side in League 1, Walsall.

The Saddlers came to SE7 and pulled off the surprise 1-0 win, which didn't please Phil Parkinson. The Addicks boss couldn't understand why so many had such poor games, however he's hoping to get to the bottom of things and find out why, Parkinson said: "It was a terrible performance from us. I can't hide away from that and it is a performance I'm finding difficult to explain because it wasn't three or four players who had an off day, everybody had an off day.

"You can't really say anybody played well and when that happens normally there is an underlying reason.

"What that reason is, we are going to have to sit down and search for it because that was a disappointing performance."

It'll not really be of much comfort but Parkinson did issue an apology to Charlton fans, adding: "Apologies to our supporters because it was a poor performance and we haven't given them too many of those in recent weeks but today was not a good one."

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Phil Parkinson's thoughts following our defeat against Walsall? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.
