Roberts Returns To SE7

Ben Roberts has returned to Charlton to become our new goalkeeping coach. The 35-year-old was a player at SE7 from 2000-2003, however he only made the one first team appearance.

The former Middlesbrough goalkeeper, who played in the 2007 FA Cup Final had been working as a coach and scout with Yeovil Town and was contracted as a player with The Glovers but now comes to The Valley to coach the goalkeepers that we have.

Roberts has played for Yeovil this season when he came on as a substitute to make his first appearance in six-years, however I don't think that he'll be registered as a player with The Addicks though.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Ben Roberts' arrival? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.
