Yann Kermorgant, who like his strike partner Bradley Wright-Phillips recently ended a baron run, is backing him to go on and 'score a lot' of goals between now and the season end.
A hat-trick, if he gets to keep all three, made if four goals in two games and 18 in total for the season having gone 12 without one!
Kermorgant, as he told the official website, knows what pressure is on Wright-Phillips' shoulders but is left in little doubt he will bang in the goals for the remaining months of the season: 'he has come back to find the net and it is very good for the team and for him. It's difficult for a striker when you don't score for a long time, more so for Bradley because he is the main striker.
'But I know he is working hard every day and it's very frustrating when you don't score. I was very happy for him. I think he will score a lot now.'
He wasn't able to score himself but that is not the most important thing for him, the 4-0 win that was gained against Chesterfield with the points that went with it meant the most to him.
Pushing on and getting as many points as possible, and maybe staying unbeaten in 2012, is his aim now: 'we are very happy to win the game and the score is a very good one. A clean sheet, 4-0, what else (can you ask for)? We play every game to win. We will continue to do that until the end of the season.
'Even if it is difficult to win every game, we want to stay unbeaten in 2012 - maybe we can finish with the maximum points at the end of the season and win the league - of course.'
