'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blackpool Rock

Despite hitting the underside of the bar, the Addicks were on the backfoot for periods of the first half at Blackpool on Saturday.

Leon Cort nodded home a corner four minutes after the break to put the visitots in front. Twenty minutes from the end, Chris Solly rifled in the second from twenty yards to seal a 2-0 victory for Charlton.

Danny Green was injured and had to be taken off after 20 minutes but Manchester City loanee, Abdul Razak, showed touches of class on his debut in Charlton colours.

The Addicks beat Bristol City 3-1 at Sparrows Lane on Monday afternoon in an Under-21 fixture. Dorian Dervite opened the scoring with Joe Pigott and Callum Harriott scoring in the second half. David Button was the only other over age person in the Charlton line-up.
