'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Three In A Row

The early dismissal of Kieran Trippier made it a difficult match for Burnley. The Clarets performed heroically and their manager, Sean Dyche, will have been pleased with their efforts.

Johnnie Jackson's spot-kick was saved by Lee Grant following Trippier's infringement and the skipper may now relinquish penalty duties. For long periods, it looked as though the Addicks would rue that miss but Jackson made amends halfway through the second period.

A deep ball into the box was headed back across goal by Rob Hulse. Danny Haynes looped his header over the keeper to seal the win for the Addicks.
