Nothing imminent for Charlton
Chris Powell has reiterated that he needs to shift players out of the Valley before looking at bringing anyone new in.
With the Football League not clearing the loan moves of Bradley Wright-Phillips and Danny Green to Swindon Town on deadline day. That has left Powell with his hands tied behind his back.
He may well be interested in bringing Millwall's Dany N'Guessan back to Charlton, but financial reasons dictate that he can't make any incoming transfers until he completes some outgoing transfers first.
'Maybe one or two going out first might allow me to do something. But there's nothing imminent with regards to us bringing someone in,' said Powell to Sky Sports.
He continued: 'A couple nearly went out last week, everyone knows what went on there and that's something Swindon have to deal with, and if it gets resurrected again, who knows?
'Everyone knows I like Dany, he did very well for us. He's been in and out of Millwall's squad. But at the moment nothing is happening there.'
With Swindon unlikely to be in a position to complete the deals for Bradley Wright-Phillips and Danny Green, Charlton will have to look to see if any other clubs are interested.
The MK Dons have been linked with Danny Green, but it would appear that there are no deals on the horizon.
