More praise for Butland

More praise for Butland

Birmingham City had goalkeeper Jack Butland to thank for their recent point at The Valley.

Yann Kermorgant finally beat the inspired England international who recently returned on loan to Birmingham following his January transfer window move to Premier League side Stoke.

Kermorgant wouldn't go as far as to say that the 19-year-old who represented Great Britain in the Olympics was the best shot-stopper in the Championship but he did say it was the best goalkeeping performance that he had witnessed this season.

"We created a lot of chances, but their keeper had a good day and made some great saves. We scored with five minutes left but unfortunately conceded again late on." Kermorgant told cafc.co.uk.

He continued: "It`s difficult to say because we only play against goalkeepers once or twice in the season, but he was amazing.

"It was the best goalkeeping performance against us this season, and he saved them until their goal. He earned them that point."
