Help police identify hooligan suspects

Help police identify hooligan suspects

Lewisham Police have released a series of CCTV images of football supporters who they would like help to identify.

The 17 images are of supporters who were at the game between Millwall and Charlton at the Den December 1st.

The match was marred by violent scenes following the final whistle with three men arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. They have since been bailed pending further inquiries.

'Just before the final whistle two flares were thrown onto the pitch by fans of Charlton Athletic.' a spokesman said.

'This was then followed by disorder between Millwall and Charlton Athletic fans where missiles were thrown resulting in officers being injured, criminal damage being caused and public order offences being committed.

'In total, 10 officers were injured receiving injuries that included cuts to their head, legs and hands. Two police horses also received cuts to their legs from smashed bottles.'

The images can be viewed on newsshopper.co.uk.

If you recognise someone in the pictures call Lewisham police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
