Championship is a tough challenge

Charlton head into this evenings game with Leicester City firmly in the mid-table places of the Championship table.

In 15th place we are just two points from the top half of the table and and six points clear of the relegation zone.

But following four games without a win, including three defeats Charlton do need to be careful to not be sucked into the relegation battle at the foot of the division.

"We certainly have to [keep believing] or we`re going to be sucked into the lower reaches and, it`s still tight we know that, but it`s better to get the points on the board as soon as you can. Powell told the South London Press.

He continued: "The Championship is a tough challenge as a whole and you have got to embrace that at times, whether it goes for you or not.

"You have got to keep pushing ahead and looking for players to make a difference and for the team to perform and do their best to win points.

Leicester will prove to be one of those tough challenges, they have the second best home record in the second tier and have won five of their last six games, although they did lose to Peterborough United so fingers crossed we are meeting them at the right time.
