'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A Challenge Enjoyed

Chris Solly's first season in the Championship has proven a successful one, however the youngster is eager for things to progress and wants more.

The right back, as he told Valley Review, has enjoyed the challenge of the step up from League One to the Championship challenging himself against better quality players, he said: 'It's been a tough step up for everyone, but as a full-back I think the standard of wingers is a lot higher than League One.'

'That's a challenge I`ve enjoyed this year, the one-versus-one battles with my opponents, and I think I've stood up to it. I'm pleased with how my first year's gone in the Championship and looking to build on it and improve next year.'

It's easy for young players to become complacent and take their foot off the gas, but the 22-year-old appears to have a wise head on his shoulders and is eager to continue his development and learn.

That should, you would think, see him become and even better player going from strength to strength going forward.
