'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Prove Your Fitness

Is the ability of Simon Church questionable? I'm not so sure that it is? Perhaps he didn't quite make it in the Premier League with Reading but he is proven in the Championship and is a Welsh international.

Reading wanted to keep him but he turned down a new deal and has been a free agent ever since.

Charlton took him in for a trial basis recently and having trained with the Addicks last week he turned out for them in the 2-1 defeat against Ebbsfleet on Sunday.

At this point in time Chris Powell is looking for him to prove his fitness as "training alone" hasn't done enough to keep him in shape. Fitness proved and a deal could be earned but this really needs to be proved before any possible talks over a deal are opened.

Church would be a good signing but Charlton really have to be sure about a player before they are signed, my personally opinion is that the striker would be a good signing and is worth a "calculated risk" with but Powell knows best and his judgement is backed.
