Young Striker Pens Three-Year Deal

A good future (I will not saw a wonderful future as that only goes to increase the pressure it puts him under) should be something that Joe Pigott has in the game.

For the next three-years, at least, this will be with Charlton with Pigott extending his stay at the Valley.

Pigott has been successful at youth and development levels with the Addicks (he banged in 22-goals last season for the academy so he knows where the goal is for sure) and this has earned him his chance this season, with Chris Powell turning to him in pre season.

Scoring on your debut isn't ever a bad thing to do is it and Pigott did exactly that for Charlton this season to announce himself to the Charlton faithful.

At 19 there's still a long way to go for the striker before he's the finished article but Powell wouldn't have given him a three-year contract if he wasn't sure he would make it would he?
