'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rivals Eye Yann

Interest in Yann Kermorgant from other clubs shouldn't really come as a surprise should it?

Yann has proven that he's a player of much quality and ability, quite easily up to the standards required to play in the championship.

It's been a real stop-start season for the striker though with injuries holding him back....

This isn't preventing interest in him though with Blackburn being long-term admirers of our striker as far as a "source" at Charlton has claimed.

His plan is to stay at the Valley, but talks on a new deal are yet to take place and as such Blackburn are keen to be kept in the loop?

This source told the South London Press: 'Blackburn have been after him for some time but the thing is the club don't want him to go and the boy doesn't really want to leave,' said a Valley source.

'Blackburn have enquired about his contractual situation but there's not been anything else.

'He is hoping he can sign a new deal at Charlton soon.'

Yann is going to be our of contract in the summer, and I'd expect he will be offered (and sign) a new deal but nothing will be looked at until the proposed takeover at Charlton takes place, which should be the case before the year ends....
