Thuram To Be Next Arrival From Liege

Perhaps Charlton has missed one Standard Liege player but yet another is being linked, and his loan arrival is "tipped" to be completed anytime now.

Liege 'keeper Yohann Thuram is highly rated by the Belgian outfits goalkeeping coach Jos Beckx but he also feels a loan spell away from the Belgian side will benefit all concerned and feels a loan to Charlton, or someone else, will benefit him.

He's quoted as saying: 'He has to play, but our first goalkeeper, Japanese international Eiji Kawashima, is a key player.

'Charlton or another team on loan will be a good solution for Yohann.'

Are Charlton really interested in all these Standard Liege players or is it easy to put two and two together and claim such things simply because Roland Duchatelet now owns both clubs?

'Keeper wise I didn't think that the Addicks were too badly off? Then again if there's a genuine truth to the Thuram rumours if he's an improvement on what Chris Powell has and if he can help make sure championship survival is achieved you'd not expect this opportunity to be passed by....
