Obika Back At The Valley

Obika Back At The Valley

Charlton had been trying to bring Jonathan Obika back to the Valley on loan since he left last summer.

Former Addicks boss had, by all accounts, tried on a couple of occasions to bring the Tottenham Hotspur striker back to the Valley on loan this season after he ended it on loan with the Addicks from February last terms.

These efforts proved fruitless, and he joined Brighton & Hove Albion on loan in January.

Obika was recalled by Tottenham on Monday though, having failed to make a significant breakthrough with the Seagulls, and then the 23-year-old was instantly loaned to Charlton until the end of the season.

He scored 3 goals in 10 appearances last season, a return of as many goals at least will be what the Addicks will be hoping for during this loan spell.
