Charlton 1-2 Barnsley

Charlton starting XI was something of a surprising nature seeing recently recovered Chris Solly starting and Asrit Ajdarevic sitting on the bench for the second game in a row and also seeing that monstrosity of a player Marvin Sordell somehow getting in to the staring line up, Michael Morrison was also dropped to the bench the star defender did not play to well against Brighton so Riga decided to put Wood and Devite in centre back.
With the line up we got it looks as though Riga may have something up his sleeve seeing as we have Bolton coming up a day earlier than the proposed Saturday game so maybe he is resting the players because Bolton will be a harder game? Who knows only him and the backroom staff .

The style of play Charlton were using on the night was in a way working if you look at the stats we have 17 shots but we also had a terrible 2 on target now this just shows that we NEED new strikers and playing like we did last night only goes to show why we have only scored 31 goals all season.
Asrit is the man from Liege who needs to stay at the club he has scored twice in the last 3 games and is improving with every game he plays and I am more than happy for him to stay he has really given the squad some belief that no matter what league the team should be in we can still work together and beat teams that we shouldn`t even have a chance against…….and then there`s this game.

Barnsley`s first shot was a goal and then after that they controlled the game. Charlton kept on throwing half hearted efforts at Barnsley`s door but once again we could not covert those chances and whenever Barnsley had at shot at goal they looked like scoring and its no secret that Charlton have had two of the worse games all season against Brighton and Barnsley we just didn`t look like we put in the effort and Barnsley looked like they wanted the win more than us which is really disappointing when you think about it.
