'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Last 2 Weeks.

After my 2 week absence VitalCharlton has not been updated since the Derby game and now I will look back from after the Derby game to today which is transfer deadline day.

What a fantastic win it was for the boys in red as Charlton played out a fantastic game which saw us win 3-2 against the Rams.
Goals from Tucudean, Buyens and Vetokele saw off the Rams in our best game of the season thus far.
After that we travelled to Huddersfield were we once again got a 1-1 draw after Vetokele thankfully scored in the 90th minute to make it 1-1 in the dying seconds of the match.
Bob Peeters has vowed to keep entertaining and what a job he has been doing and keeping his promises, after a pitch-side brawl with Uwe Rosler he really did show how much passion he has for Charlton and the game and has instantly become a fan favourite over the past few weeks bringing in some great players who want to play and are willing to do good once 3 o`clock on a Saturday comes along.
Peeters suffered his first defeat as Charlton boss last Tuesday as Charlton met Derby for the second time this season in the capital one cup.
A cruel 90th minute goal led to the Addicks demise but still its only a micky mouse cup that we wouldn`t have won anyway but now we get to focus on the league more until the FA Cup comes along in January.

So after a disappointing game against Derby the Addicks were rearing to bounce back and looked like we did as Vetokele netted his 4th and 5th goals of the season against Brighton until they scored in the 93rd minute.
It seems a shame that we cant keep the points when we really need to but we really need to sort out the defensive structure in our squad everything else is working perfectly but the defence.
We need Morrison to play more games as he is probably the more solid of the centre backs at the club, Ben-Haim just don`t cut it for me really so give Morrison a few more games to get used to the new look side and he will become that strong solid defender that we all know and love.

So now we come to deadline day many rumours are circling around some that seem like they could happen and some that seem absolutely ridiculous such as earlier there was a report that Darren Bent has been seen outside Sparrows Lane, well we would all love to see Bent back at Charlton doing what he dose best but will that really happen? I don`t think so, also we are closing in on a number 9 and it will happen today according to some reports but some of the names that are coming up are not to satisfying such as Alian Traore, Syvain Ebanks-Blake and Valerijs Sabala who is a 19-year-old Latvian who plays for Club Brugge.

Lets just see where deadline day takes us because we really need a striker and not a panic buy.
