Where are the signings?

Where are the signings?

Surely Alan Pardew is aware we need new players..

We need new players in all departments and its surprising Pards hasn`t made any moves. I know we've signed the China captain ZZ on loan but he was trailed by ex boss Les Reed.

So who is Pardew after? A raid on his old club has been lined up in many of the papers, with players such as Reo-Coker, Harewood, Mullins and the more likely Sheringham being linked.

Elsewhere we missed out on both Pressley and Stokes and the task of attracting teams to a relegation dog fight could be proving a tough task.

If Darren Bent is sold, this seems to be changing from yes to no day by day, then a top striker is a MUST. James Beattie has been linked as well as Earnshaw and Nugent from the fizzy pop league.

Personally I feel our defence is woeful and a decent centre back is required with a ball winning midfielder to aid Andy Reid in the middle and a goal scorer to help/replace Darren Bent.

What we do know is funds are very limited and I am sure the club is looking at possible loan deals. Any big money buys will only surface if we off load some of our expensive flops that Dowie brought to south London in the summer.
