The League 1 season continued with the latest round of games played on Good Friday.

Sheffield United's promotion had already been secured - now they are confirmed champions. Bolton, Fleetwood and Bradford are battling to join them.

Coventry were relegated, Chesterfield could officially join them on Easter Monday?

Oldham Athletic 1-0 Bolton Wanderers 12:30

A third straight Bury, 20th, defeat means they're now just a point above the relegation zone. Rochdale's 1-0 victory at Gigg Lane on Thursday keeps them just about in the hunt for a potential top-six finish.

Bradford secured a third straight win to move within touching distance of securing a play-off place with a 1-0 win over Oxford to end the U's outside chances of finishing in the top-six. City are joint-third with Fleetwood, four points off second-placed Bolton.

A crushing 4-0 Chesterfield defeat against promotion chasing Southend has virtually relegated the second-bottom Spireites - who played the second half with 10-men. The Shrimpers' victory - after successive defeats - keeps them just a point off Millwall, sixth.

Coventry were officially relegated into the basement division of the Football League - the first time this has been the case in 58 years. The Sky Blues had taken the lead but Charlton secured a 1-1 draw to send them down and keep the Addicks, 15th, six points clear of the bottom four. Both sets if fans protested against the clubs' owners, plastic pigs thrown onto the pitch led to two disruptions.

Two late goals from Gillingham secured a crucial 3-1 victory over play-off hopefuls Bristol Rovers. The Gills first win in six sees them four points clear of the bottom four with the Pirates', ninth, outside hopes of a top-six finish fading.

Millwall's 3-0 win over Northampton saw the Lions, sixth, keep the fourth and final play-off spot, a point ahead of rivals for this top-six finish Southend.

A first defeat in six was suffered by MK Dons when Scunthorpe boosted their play-off hopes with a 1-0 win at the stadium:mk. A third win in four has seen the Iron retain a four point lead over seventh-placed Southend.

Peterborough's fifth defeat in 10 - a second in a row - was suffered when Fleetwood kept alive their automatic promotion hopes. The Cod Army, joint-third, are four points off second-placed Bolton.

Port Vale were pushed further towards relegation when Sheffield United moved to the brink of winning the title - secured on Sunday when Bolton were beaten at Oldham. The Blades eighth win in 10 means collecting 100 points could be on?

Shrewsbury rescued a points in a 1-1 draw with Walsall - who had their winless run extended to six. This point keeps the Shrews, 19th, two points above the relegation zone.

A chance to move out of the relegation zone was missed by Swindon when held to a 0-0 draw with Wimbledon at the County Ground. The Robins' unbeaten run was extended to four but they are two points behind Bury, and League 1 safety.
