Phillips Extends Charlton Contract
Charlton Athletic have today confirmed that the contract of goalkeeper Dillon Phillips has now been extended owing to a contract clause we held in our favour.
The highly rated 22 yer old made his Charlton debut last season and has gone on to make 19 senior appearances since then having impressed during a loan spell with Cheltenham Town in 2015/16.
Phillips isn't the only youngster to see his deal extended, the club have also taken up options on Reeco Hackett-Fairchild, Jamie Mascoll, Joshua Umerah and Kenneth Yao, who have all seen 12 months added to their deals.
19 year old Hackett-Phillips made his debut in the League Cup victory over Exeter City last August and he has now made 10 senior appearances, scoring twice.
Mascoll joined over the summer following a trial and has started our last three EFL Trophy games.
Umerah debuted back in 2015/16 during a loan spell with Kilmarnock, also spending time with Wycombe Wanderers. His time at Wycombe saw seven appearances and two goals.
He has three Charlton appearances to is name.
Yao can play across the back four and is part of Jason Euell's development squad. He played his part in the U18's being crowed national champions in 2015/16, as well as helping the U18s finish second and the U23s third last term.
