Murray: Pardew is the man

With the club currently locked in a relegation battle in the Premiership, Murray has praised the work so far of Alan Pardew. Pardew is our third manager this season after Iain Dowie and Les Reed failed to meet expectations.

Charlton have shown some decent form in recent weeks and Murray is convinced the reason is because Pardew has installed belief into the squad.

'He does believe in himself and his players and the club and the fans and I think everyone has rallied behind him,' Murray told Sky Sports News.

'He is a great leader.'

Charlton are locked in a relegation battle with West Ham who are now managed by Addicks legend Alan Curbishley.

Murray is keen to see Curbishley succeed at West Ham, but not at the expense of The Addicks.

'He was a wonderful manager for Charlton for that time, but we have moved on and whether we like it or not we are competitors and I want Charlton to do better than West Ham,' added Murray.

You will do better than West Ham, you will finish above them, collect half a million quid more....and get to meet them again next season.

We're not out of it yet Pompeygray. Win our last 5 home games and we're on 39, 1 point more than you guys got last year...oh, and we need to beat Man City at their place too ideally! A tall order I know but NOBODY at The Valley will throw in the towel just yet.
