Charlton's win against Newcastle closed the gap on Sheffield Utd to just 4 points with the Blades still to play us at The Valley.
Charlton's latest performances have shown the bottle needed to stay up and Pardew feels the teams just above us are going to be looking over their shoulders.
Pardew hailed his team's second half performance and, with Charlton's next game after the break for internationals at home to fellow strugglers Wigan, the manager is full of optimism.
'We're dragging people in and we've got another home game to come against Wigan and if we can maybe get three points it's going to make four or five teams very nervous.'
