Pardew interested in McVeigh

McVeigh was recently allowed to join Burnley on loan and is out of contract in the summer and free to leave Norwich on a free.

Pardew is wasting no time in strengthening the squad and is preparing for next season even though we are unsure what league we will be playing in.

McVeigh is not the only player interesting Pardew, earlier reports linked him with Freddie Eastwood of Southend.

Many are expecting us to drop out of The Premiership in the summer and feel Eastwood will be a direct replacement for Darren Bent. Pardew is hoping however that Eastwood will be able to form a decent partnership with Bent and allow the addicks to become a force in The Premier League.

Eastwood would be a decent partner for Bent but will he make the step up required. Many try and most fail
