We now have only four matches left until the season closes for the summer break.
At the moment it's a safe bet to say Watford are gone but who will be joining them? I think it's two from us, Sheffield Utd, West Ham, Fulham and Wigan.
And boy is it going to be close. Currently just three points separate us from Wigan who are sitting in 15th place.
There are still a lot of games where the teams down the bottom play each other so it really could go right to the wire.
We still have to play Sheff Utd (H) Blackburn (A) Spurs (H) and then Liverpool (A) The trip to Anfield is a big ask so we have got to pick up at least 6 points from the earlier three fixtures.
Our last 4 games are hardly an ideal run-in, but Pardew maintains the mood within the Charlton camp can be buoyant given how far the team have come in the past eight weeks.
'The defeat at Everton was difficult to take at the time, but when I reflect on it, I know we put in a fantastic performance and the scoreline did not really do us credit,' he said.
'There was huge disappointment in the dressing room, but I do not think it is going to take much to get them up because when they review it, the lads will see they put an unbelievable effort it and it just was not our day.
'We more than held our own. But that is football, you do not always get what you deserve.
'We have had some fantastic results recently, and if we continue to perform like that, we will get them again.
'We will approach the Sheffield United match now as a must-win game. There is no other way to describe it.'
I think we can get points against Sheffield Utd and Spurs and then with a massive following away at Blackburn you never know what will happen.
Six points could well be enough to escape and maybe a favour or two with some of our rivals losing along the way.
Now is the time to back the boys and if you haven`t already got your tickets for the last remaining games, don't just sit here go and get them.
