Spurs to hijack Bent Deal?

At the start of play on Thursday all the papers were reporting Darren Bent would be joining West Ham in a whopping 17m deal.

A few hours on however and Spurs are believed to be trying to hijack the deal. It is thought Bent would favour a move to Spurs to form a partnership with hit man Berbatov.

Whatever happens Spurs will need to match West Hams bid and then it will most likely come down to a wages war for the player.

Charlton look to have accepted they need to sell Bent and now there looks to be a bidding war with millions of pounds being thrown around.

Expect lots more of twists and turns to follow, Liverpool are still watching closely.

I like Bent, but 17 big ones is too much.

bent is not worth more than 10m, West Ham can have him if they want to spend 17m and 75k a week - what a waste of cash

Not a bad player but West Ham are welcome to him at the prices being thrown about. There's much better for 17 mil.

Charlton trying to rip us off...let the spammers have him

I'm suprised Newcastle don't offer 20mil + 100k a week - they like wasting money

Robin Hood, Robin Hood riding by the valley. 17M, no chance at best worth 8.

Spurs may fund the move by selling Defoe for 12m+ and therefore net outlay is less than 5m.. 17 is too much bit lessens the blow..

Fair play to Charlton we are getting a great deal. I agree its big money but his goals scored record in the prem is very good over the two seasons hes been here. 12mill would be a fair price but all transfers will go up with the extra tv cash. Pay up or put up West Ham are throwing money around like its going out of fashion mugs.
Pardew is God
