'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pardew Snaps Up France U21 Capt.

The 20-year-old right-back was reportedly also a target for Aston Villa, Everton, Celtic and Lazio. Moutaouakil has cost the Addicks £400,000 from French side Chateauroux and he has signed a four-year deal.

'I'm delighted to sign Yassin and we have very high hopes for him,' said Pardew on the clubs official website www.cafc.co.uk. 'He's a player who a number of clubs were very interested in, and we're naturally very pleased he has chosen Charlton.

'He brings exactly the qualities we are going to need in the Championship next season. He's a very honest player who wants to succeed and he has plenty of hunger.

'He's a player I've been aware of for some seven months now, and he's going to be a great addition to our squad for next year.'

Not many Charlton fans have heard of Yassin but in Pards we trust. I can think of a few players who have captained France's U21's that have turned out to be world class. Let`s hope this is another gem in the making.

The signing is sure to fuel increased speculation that England full back Luke Young will now exit The Valley.

The former Spurs player has been linked with possible moves to West Ham, Villa and Everton and he is rated around £3million.

Moutaouakil joins strikers Luke Varney and Chris Iwelumo, and defender Patrick McCarthy, in signing up for Pardew's new look Addicks squad ahead of our Championship season.

At £400k he looks a steal! Well done AP!

Yes, I agree. Good signing. Some of the other figures for people out there are crazy, so this looks like good business!

But he was playing for a French Div II side so... any Charlton comment on the Kinsella-Colchester story? http://www.colchester.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=70521

Kins is a massive favourite with the fans her and so i cant see him going. Colchester cant afford our wages and he's been doing well so far. Maybe in the future he will become your manager but at the moment an assistant role doesnt look that interesting does it?
Charlton Mark
Thanks Charton Mark. Would love it if he came back. Could you leave a Charlton based view on our website to help the debate? He was de-moted last season when AP arrived so, given the chance, he might come!
Matt_Us
Not really demoted, we changed a three man team that didnt work for a two man team that did. Kins is a newbie at the moment but could well be a future manager of either of our clubs. good luck next season.
