Addicks Complete Sodje Deal

Charlton have confirmed they have beaten Sheffield Wednesday to the season-long loan signing of Reading centre-half Sam Sodje.

The 28-year-old will offer some much-needed competition in defence here at The Valley.

Hopefully he will replace McCarthy and give some shape to our back line.

Sodje was sent off for Reading during his only appearance of the season this week, and will therefore miss tomorrow`s derby at Crystal Palace. He should however feature in the next game at Colchester.

Sodje joins Danny Mills with both players signing up before the midnight deadline.
