U's Await Iwelumo's Return

U's Await Iwelumo's Return

Addicks fans are well aware that Chris Iwelumo will be returning to Colchester this weekend when the Addicks take on the U's at Layer Road, this return is something that U's boss Geraint Williams is eagerly awaiting.

Iwelumo was offered a new contract by the U's, but after deciding against this the prolific striker opted for a move to the Valley, and returns to Layer Road for the first time since leaving.

Now the U's will be hoping to thwart the threat posed by the man who hit 35 goals in two seasons with the club, something that Williams is looking forward to hopefully (from his point of view) doing and he told the media: 'Big Chris is always a handful, he scored a stack of goals for us in two years and he's started well for Charlton.

'But we know all about him here and we'll be looking to keep him quiet.'

It is not only Iwelumo who is facing his previous employers though, lest we forget that Kevin Lisbie could be coming up again the Addicks for the first time since he was released in the summer.

Both men will be looking to pull on over their previous employers.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site, can one or both score against their old teams? Who is the most likely, if any? Share these feeling below so we can discuss them, and don't forget to vote in the poll aswell.

It would be sods law from either clubs point of view should Iwelumo score against the U's or Lisbie against the Addicks. After all the build up though, what's the betting that neither score lol!

It will be a big help to the U's who are a really good side and a force to reckoned with, particularly at Layer Road.
