Alan Pardew has decided to let striker Chris Dickson go out on loan again, this time to League One Gillingham.
Having just returned from a loan with Crewe he now joins the Gills for an initial one-month period, and has gone straight into their squad for their match with Nottingham Forest this weekend.
It has looked as though Chris Dickson would sign for the Gills in a loan capacity in the summer, having held talks with them, before deciding against it, but he has finally made this switch.
I have said that I wanted him to stay at the Valley after returning from Crewe, but a month away, maybe extended for a few months will not do him any harm, but I do hope that he returns around January time at the latest and is given a chance here.
There is a lot of competition for striking places at the Valley, but giving Chris Dickson a chance in the Addicks line-up during the Championship season is something that I would be looking at.
At 22 years of age people can't be saying that he is too young; as he is not, this season is the time to give him a go or we could well have another talented youngster waste away into nothingness.
What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Chris Dickson going out on loan again? Is this a good thing, are you happy and do you hope to see him play a part here at some point this season? Share these feeling below so we can discuss them.
