Addicks Anger at the FA

Saying that the Addicks were not amused with the FA's handling of the appeal we put to the FA over Lloyd Sam's sending off would not do it justice.

Peter Varney, the Addicks Chief Executive has written a letter to the FA in which he has been highly critical of their way of handling the appeal, Varney said: 'After submitting DVD evidence, testimonies from a number of players and a cheque for £750, I cannot understand why we only receive a one-line response from the FA saying out appeal has been dismissed.

'As a club, we have no idea who the panel are, what their qualifications are, and what elements of our case they do not accept.'

Although he acknowledges that his words, and so publicly spoken, could taint the Addicks' relationship with the FA (which appears somewhat trained anyway!) he believes that it is only fair and right that the FA make public the reasons for the appeal: 'At the risk of causing further upset in our relationship with the FA, we do intend to be vociferous about this refusal to introduce transparency into the process,' Varney also added.

'Surely it's not too much to ask the FA to publish the reasons for the dismissal of appeals?'

Is it really too much to ask indeed?

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Peter Varney's thoughts? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

Taking on the FA doesn't often (if ever) see you win (unless you are one of the big boys!) but sometimes you have to have a go don't you.

At least you can try! It's crazy really!!!!! Oh well let's hope for the best.

This can either earn some respect or the FA will hold this against us and use it to get us back at a latter date (even though the should be impartial.)
