Addicks Skipper Enjoying his Role

Addicks Skipper Enjoying his Role

Addicks skipper Andy Reid has been in fine form this season, and it was himself and Zheng Zhi that were the star performers against the Barnsley at the weekend. Reid feels we are in very good shape, and he is happy with his own contribution.

The Addicks may have dropped two points against the Tykes at the Valley, depending on what way you look at it, but we still lie in second in the Championship, and are unbeaten in eight matches, very much on course for promotion, thanks very much so to Andy Reid, and he told the Addicks website: 'I'm very happy. I feel great on the pitch and am enjoying my football.'

The Republic of Ireland international, who has now gone off to link up with Ireland is happy with the way results have gone thus far this season, but feels with the squad in place now there is much more to come: 'We've picked up some good results and put in some good performances and there is more to come from us,' Andy Reid added.

'I looked at our bench against Barnsley on Saturday and the quality of the players that came on with us searching for a goal was impressive.

'It shows what a good squad we have and I think that will improve as we go along.'

The squad is looking much better than it was, Alan Pardew has shipped out so much dead wood brining in young and hungry talent, along with quality experienced professionals, all of whom want to play for the Addicks as a team (unlike some of these shipped out!)

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Andy Reid's thoughts? How inspirational has he been this season, and how much more can he be yet? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

Reid has been brilliant this season, but Zheng Zhi has also been outstanding, if these two can maintain their top class form (along with others) then things will only improve with the Addicks going from strength to strength with what looks like a very good squad, which is more than capable of returning to the Premier League.
