Dickson Extends his Gills Stay

The Addicks have decided to extend striker Chris Dickson's loan with Gillingham for a further month.

Having signed for the Gills on an initial month-long loan Chris Dickson scored his first professional hat trick against Luton last week, following this up with another goal against Millwall. With his loan set to end it has been agreed that the Gills can now keep him for a further month.

All the time Chris Dickson is playing he is gaining valuable professional experience, and the more he plays the more likely it is he will score, so the more he scores the more confident he will be so this can only work I the Addicks' favour. I would not be surprised to see this loan extended again into a third, and final month before he finally does come back to the Valley looking to play his part in the second half of the season here.

However, Grant Basey has returned to the Valley having completed his loan spell with Brentford.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Chris Dickson's loan being extended? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

The Addicks are in a win win situation here in my books. They may as well keep him out as long as they can before hopefully giving him a go in the latter part of the season.

He's pretty raw, by all accounts. I think you should let us have him for a third month, then loan him to us for the rest of the season in January. Please.

I think that he will stay for a third and final month. However I would then like him to stay here for the rest of the season and get some game time at the Valley.

You have alot of good strikers, would he get many game's here?

I would hope he got a bit of a go at some point, but you are right who would dip out?
