What a Relief, and we Needed it

The last gasp win over Southampton on Saturday could prove the turning point in our season, and boy was it needed.

After three defeats in a row, although these were not exactly terminal, the last minute winner against the Saints on Saturday afternoon brought some welcome relief, and a much needed win, which reminded us what it was like to do that.

It is tough enough to win any match, let a lone a match away from home when you have ten men (as Jose Victor Semedo had been sent off) but we managed this and in the process managed to move back up to fourth place in the Championship, five points behind Bristol City in the second automatic promotion place. The fact that we are only five points adrift of them despite losing three in a row before this does show how tight things probably will be this season.

Quite often you have moment that turn a season, this last minute winner could prove just that for the Addicks?

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on the win? How important was it, and how much of a turning point could it prove? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

The three defeats in a row were shocking, and things were looking a little worrying, but the win does show how close things should be this season. This win (and last gasp at that) is a certain turning point in our season I think.

It was a very good win especially after going down to ten men during the game.

It's great we won - not matter how! Has to be our turning point especially after our wee hiccup LOL! Thanks dazza71 :)

Yeah thank-you dazza71. If this can't be a turning point in our season nothing will.

How do you know that though CA ;) LOL

It has to be though doesn't it, and I think it will be a moment we look back on at the end of the season.

I know what you are saying - but I don't think I'd put that much "significance" on it - if you know what I mean? Who knows though - that's the fun part :) Just keeping positive hehe.
