Alan Pardew has sung Chris Iwelumo's praises after the Addicks striker struck late on to defeat Bristol City on Tuesday night.
"Chris is doing a great job for us at the moment. He is carrying a few injuries but you wouldn't know it," Alan Pardew told the media.
"The formation we play with only one up front does not really suit a big man. But he worked very hard and kept City stretched."
Having struck in injury time to beat Southampton last Saturday, Chris Iwelumo again struck late on against the Robins to earn the Addicks another late victory in the 1-0 win at Ashton gate, a victory that was a wonderful result against a team flying high in the Championship, and a win that allowed us to close the gap on them to a mere two points.
