Mills Bemoans his Reputation

Something which appears to have come out of the blue has seen Danny Mills say that he feel that he is sometimes "unfairly treated" by match officials.

Danny Mills, currently enjoying a successful return to the Valley in a loan capacity does have previous for his actions and/or behaviour on the pitch but he feels this is being held against him by match officials in the Championship: "Without wanting to say 'poor old me' I think my reputation does precede me a bit with referees," Danny Mills told the South London Press.

"Sometimes I get booked for a tackle that other players wouldn't."

I can understand and appreciate what Danny Mills is saying, but in many ways he has only brought this on himself, not that I am saying it is right that he is booked for things others aren't. However, I am still trying to work out why and where this sudden reaction from him has come from? It just seems to have randomly come about. The joys of the international break I suppose, it makes strange stories appear.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Danny Mills' thoughts, is he "victimised?" Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

It isn't right, and shouldn't happen but this is the price that people such as Danny Mills will pay for previous actions. What has happened in the past should stay there, but that isn't the way things work is it in general is it?

Should stay in the past for sure. People do change but some folk seem to forget that :(

I do like Mills, but don't think that he is that likely to ever change, although he is probably unfairly "picked on" by referees at times.

he is a wind up merchant as well...so he asks for a lot of it along the way.................
