Darren Ambrose's Seasons Aims

Darren Ambrose has joined Addicks boss Alan Pardew in targeting an instant return to the Premier League, possibly by achieve an automatic promotion place, with both Watford and West Brom in his sights.

A dip in from the early season pace setting Hornets has offer both the Addicks and the Baggies incentives to catch and pass the Hornets, and three points against the Blades on Tuesday night could see the gap closed even further, and a possible return to the automatic places for the Addicks, something that Darren Ambrose has his sights set on: "We are chasing Watford at the moment and fighting West Brom for second," Darren Ambrose told the Addicks website.

"We know that with the team we've got at the moment, with the players we have, we are ultimately looking to automatic promotion and at least the play-offs.

"But you cannot look too far ahead. We're taking every game as it comes and if we can continue our recent good form and get good results, we will definitely be there in the top two in May."

You have to set these aims, and it is good to hear Darren Ambrose talking like this. Much as he said himself we have to take things a bit at a time but an instant return to the Premier League has always been the aim, how it is achieved doesn't really matter, however the lottery of the play-offs is probably something we would like to avoid.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Darren Ambrose's thoughts, we must share this surely? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

Good to hear such words from Ambrose, I like to hear the positive thoughts, but also not the overly positive thoughts, shows maturity and experience despite him still only be young.
