Addicks Switch Date for Eagles Match

After police advice the Addicks have agreed to switch the Championship match with Crystal Palace from a Saturday afternoon to a Friday evening kick off.

The meeting with the Eagles at Selhurst Park in September (won 1-0 by the Addicks) saw a number of Addicks fans attacked on their way to the match, leading to several arrests, so after police consultation, although it will annoy many Addicks fans the club have agreed to switch the kick off day.

Originally scheduled for Saturday 9th February with a 15.00pm kick off, it will now be played on the Friday evening, 8th February with a 19.45 kick off.

Plenty of people will be disappointed with this change, but if the club have been requested to do this by police, if it is a better thing for people's safety then it is the right thing.
