Defensive Crises For Pards

Alan Pardew will face a defensive selection headache next week when The Addicks travel to the Midlands to face West Brom.

Jonathan Fortune was sent off in Saturday's clash against Ipswich town meaning he will miss Charlton's next three games, while Danny Mills and Lloyd Sam are also barred from playing.

Mills and Sam picked up their 5th yellow cards of the season meaning that they will have to sit out one match.

Chris Powell had to leave the field against Ipswich leaving Pardew with no recognised full back in the squad if he does not recover for Saturday's vital fixture.

Grant Basey and Ben Thatcher are still some time from full recovery which may mean a re-shuffle from Pardew.

Yassin Moutaouakil should replace Mills while Jerome Thomas should have recovered in time to take Sam's berth.

It is going to stretch the resourcess to the limit and will make the match against West Brom even thougher, but now is the time to stand up and be counted.
